So how does marble form?

...

In its essence, simply explained, marble is limestone that is exposed to extreme pressure and heat to such temperatures over time that the minerals grow larger and fuse forming what we know as natural marble.

The most popular colour recognised of natural marble is white, this is because it is absolute calcite that has no intervening minerals that highlight colour. Marble has been used throughout history by ancient Egyptians, ancient Greeks and the Romans as a symbol of elegance, luxury and sophistication, as well as durability.

These days, marble is widely used in homes for the same reasons but over recent decades, they have been available in more varying and beautiful colours as well as many different formats to suit all areas within homes.

The different finishes

Tumbled, honed/matt finish, polished finish designs mean natural marble can be used anywhere within your home. Hallways, bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, and bedrooms are all areas where natural marble can be installed. With the many different formats available, splashback in kitchens, wet rooms, and walls can also be treated to the beauty of natural marble.

There is no doubting the elegance of marble, real marble will always change the way your home feels for the better. Whatever colour theme you aim to achieve, you will find real marble to match it.
